Joy to the World

Good grief, it’s the holidays again…already. Lights up, twinkling in shops and restaurants…and my little casa. Black Friday has come and gone. Cyber Monday is tomorrow. I’m booking sunset sails and Christmas parties with friends, pretending I’m not working 3 jobs and will somehow make the time. My Christmas wish is that we support our artists – writers, painters, musicians, et al – this year, now and throughout the year. They bring the magic to our moments and the sparkle to our daily lives. Oh, and I wish you much joy! Happy Holidays!! www.mauiwriter.com/hot-off-the-press.

I had a farm on the Hamakua

I had a farm on the Hamakua. Mornings woke to find whales and waterspouts playing on the horizon, birds chatting in the garden, feasting on my strawberries. It was a sweet and magical place, where macnuts, papayas, bananas, and a riot of food grew under the tropical sun. And my children grew too. As did I. What place for you was one of roots, growth, joy?
